Youth serve at Rosie’s Place

9 youth and 3 adults helped serve a meal at Rosie’s Place on Sunday, June 16th.

The experience culminated a Goods Drive started by Simon Fernandez-Buehrens, and was a project undertaken by the entire church community. Simon and the youth brought 5 full boxes of food and toiletries that were collected by church members and friends. The Pink Envelope collection for June went towards that meal. $350 was needed for the youth group to underwrite the meal; the Pink Envelope Sunday raised more than $1,000 for Rosie’s Place.

Thanks so much to everyone’s generosity and building relationship with organizations that are doing powerful work to battle homelessness in Boston. This was the last official gathering of the youth group for the Summer, and was a powerful and inspiring way to end a great year.
