Grow old along with me,” Robert Browing wrote. “The best is yet to be.” But we do not have the infrastructure of community care to help our elders to make their older years the best of their lives. In a culture obsessed with youth, how are we addressing the needs of our elders? In a country that is rapidly growing older, how are we collectively managing the shifting needs of the aging population? How are we creating networks of care and community that will hold us all as we continually and always grow older? How are we celebrating and expressing gratitude for all of the gifts we have received from our elders?
