“People come to church longing for, yearning for, hoping for … a sense of roots, place, belonging, sharing and caring. People come to a church with a search for community, not committee.” — Glenn Turner

Metta Meditation

Last Sunday each month, 9:30-10:30am (generally) –  Allen Parlor

Often called Loving Kindness Meditation, Metta Meditation  is  a way to awaken our hearts  and help us become more  compassionate. It is a practice in which we water the seeds of our good intentions, and can help us to be more centered, loving, forgiving and wise towards ourselves and others. It comes from the Buddhist  tradition, but can be practiced by anyone. Some of you may be familiar with this form of mediation. It is simple to learn, even as ongoing practice fosters deepening layers of awareness and benefit.

We’ll meet the last Sunday of the month (usually). This  is open to all,  ages 12 and older, members of FPD or outside the congregation.
